How to make your Polaroid
Create a classic instant-photo style image in just a few steps.

Choose a photo
Click Choose Photo and upload a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device.

Pick a frame
Choose a preset such as Classic White, Vintage Cream, Black Frame or Retro.

Adjust the picture
Drag the photo inside the frame, zoom in or out, and rotate it until the crop looks right.

Add a caption or date, choose PNG or JPEG and download your finished Polaroid.
What to do

Use the editing controls to create anything from a clean modern instant photo to a worn vintage print.
Reposition the photo
Drag the picture inside the frame to change which part of the image is visible.
Change the frame
Adjust the frame colour, border thickness, bottom caption area and rounded corners.
Add a vintage look
Try black and white, sepia, faded colour, grain and vignette effects.
Add your caption
Add a place name, date, memory, short message or photo title under the image.
Add tape or a pin
Make the Polaroid look like it has been stuck to a wall, scrapbook or noticeboard.
Use transparency
Choose a transparent background and download as PNG for collages and other designs.
Tip:
For a realistic vintage result, try a cream frame, lower saturation slightly, add a little grain and vignette, then rotate the whole Polaroid by around 2–4 degrees.

Yes. Use the Vintage Cream or Retro preset, or combine sepia, faded colour, grain and vignette controls to create your own look.
Can I add a caption?
Yes. Add your own text below the photograph and change the caption size and text colour.
Can I add a date?
Yes. Turn on the date option to add a date stamp to your finished Polaroid.
Can I make the background transparent?
Yes. Turn on Transparent Background and download the finished design as PNG.
What image types can I upload?
You can use common browser-supported image formats including JPG, PNG and WebP.
What format can I download?
You can download the finished Polaroid as PNG or JPEG. PNG is best if you want transparency.
Does the tool change my original photo?
No. Your original image on your device is not changed. The tool creates a separate edited version for you to download.
Are my photos permanently stored?
The Polaroid editor works in your browser and does not need to permanently store your original photograph in order to create the finished image.
